About EUDR Tools
When a supplier sends a plot file, the first question is often much simpler than a compliance verdict: will the geometry load, and does it land where everyone thinks it does? A GeoJSON can contain crossed edges. A KML may open, but the boundary still needs a second look. Sometimes the shape is valid and the plot ID or production period is unclear. I built EUDR Tools for this messy preparation stage.
Map Studio opens GeoJSON and KML and puts the supplied geometry on a map. It flags technical problems such as invalid shapes and out-of-range coordinates. For repairs it supports, you can inspect the proposed change and compare key values before exporting GeoJSON. You should still ask the supplier whether the revised boundary represents the right land. The map cannot answer that for you.
The other tools cover questions that tend to arrive with the file. The HS/CN checker helps you inspect whether a product code appears in the regulation's listed scope and links back to source material. The country lookup shows the Commission's published risk classification, with a source link and review context. A separate Article 10/11 record gives you a place to write down evidence references, risk factors, unresolved questions and mitigation notes. It is a working record, not a machine-made risk conclusion.
For example, if the outline looks clean but two documents name different plots, the next step is not to stamp the file 'valid' and move on. Keep the conflict visible, ask for the underlying evidence, and let the responsible operator or trader assess what it means. EUDR Tools can help keep the technical checks and notes in one place; it cannot establish the land's history or the legality of production.
Everything is free, available in the 24 official EU languages, and the core tools work without an account. EUDR Tools does not certify compliance, verify deforestation-free status, decide that risk is negligible, replace professional advice or submit a due diligence statement to TRACES. Those responsibilities stay with the operator or trader.
