IndieTool

IndieTool is a launchpad and directory built for indie founders. It exists to give indie makers a place to launch, get discovered by other builders, and earn a permanent backlink that helps their domain rating and search rankings. The core of the site is the Indie Startups & Apps Directory at /apps, where more than 1,500 startups built by verified indie founders are listed. Visitors can search by name, keyword, category, or founder, and filter by category (AI, Agent, SEO, Design, Productivity, Marketing, Fintech, E-Commerce, Business, and others) or by domain rating. Each listing shows its link type, so founders can see what they get before they submit. Launching is simple. The Standard plan is a one-time payment of $29.99 with no subscription or renewal fees. It includes one lifetime app submission with a permanent listing and a dofollow backlink from indietool.io (DR 49). Your product is featured across 1,210+ index pages and sent to 1,500+ newsletter subscribers. Automated indexing gets the listing live in about 60 seconds, and you get direct support from the founder. The listing is 100% badge-free, so you don't need to add a reciprocal link to your site. Checkout runs through Stripe. Beyond the directory, IndieTool publishes a suite of free tools for founders. These include name generators (business, podcast, band, D&D and more), a link scanner (Scan-link), a meta title and description generator, a headline generator, a free logo maker, a Twitter card validator, a pricing analysis tool, and a tweet-to-testimonial generator. The blog covers practical topics like dofollow backlinks, indexation, generative engine optimization, and product launch toolkits. Developers can submit apps through a REST API, and there's a 50% affiliate program for anyone who refers founders. For founders, it's a simple way to put a new product in front of other builders, earn a lasting backlink, and pick up useful free tools along the way. The whole thing is paid for once and stays up for good.
