Mjenzi

Mjenzi is a construction marketplace for people planning, building, renovating or supplying projects in Tanzania. It brings building products and construction services into one place, helping customers discover independent suppliers and professionals through a website and mobile apps. The platform is designed around the practical search for materials, equipment and people needed to move a building project forward.
Customers can browse listings for building materials, house plans, tools, equipment and construction services. Category and location browsing help users narrow their search to the type of product or service they need and the area relevant to their project. A homeowner researching a renovation can explore material options, while a contractor sourcing for a job can look for suppliers and equipment. Someone at the planning stage can also discover house plans and professional services before deciding whom to contact.
Mjenzi connects buyers with the businesses and individuals behind each listing. Customers contact sellers directly to ask about product specifications, current availability, prices and arrangements for a purchase or service. This makes the marketplace a starting point for discovery and discussion. The information needed for a particular project can then be checked with the relevant supplier or professional.
For suppliers, hardware businesses, contractors and other construction professionals, Mjenzi provides a place to present products and services to an audience interested in building in Tanzania. Listings help potential customers understand what a business offers and find a way to get in touch. Paid listing and promotional options support businesses that want additional exposure on the platform.
Mjenzi is available on the web and through Android and iOS apps, giving users a choice of how to explore the marketplace. Its focus on construction brings together product discovery and service discovery, which are often separate parts of the same project. Whether the immediate task is finding materials, comparing available listings or identifying a professional to speak with, Mjenzi offers a focused place to begin the search.
