QBO Ready

QBO Ready is a browser-based converter that turns bank and credit card exports in CSV or Excel format into QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) files. It was built for people who use QuickBooks Online and need a reliable way to get transactions into their books when a direct bank feed is missing, delayed or simply not wanted.

How it works

Download a CSV or Excel export from your online banking, then drop the file onto the QBO Ready page. The tool reads the columns, shows a preview of the transactions so you can confirm dates, descriptions and amounts, and then generates a .qbo file. In QuickBooks Online you open Transactions, choose Upload from file and select the downloaded file. That is the whole process.

Private by design

All of the conversion happens in JavaScript on your own computer. Your statement is never uploaded to a server, which matters when the file contains account activity for a business or a client. There is no account to create and no login step before you can use it.

Bank presets and custom files

Ready-made presets cover common US banks and payment processors, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, Amex, U.S. Bank, PayPal, Stripe and Square. For any other institution, you can map the columns of your CSV once (date, description, amount) and convert it the same way.
