About Vidmoat

Vidmoat is a hosted AI video editor. Describe what you want in plain English, like "cut the silence, add captions, make it vertical". The built-in agent carries out the edit on a real multi-track timeline that you can review, adjust by hand, and render to MP4. Nothing to self-host: it runs in the browser, with desktop apps for Windows and Mac.

There are three ways to edit, all on the same projects, plan and credits. You can use the web editor, send a clip with a caption to @vidmoat_bot on Telegram, or connect an AI agent over MCP. Through the MCP server, Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients can import footage, apply any of 65+ timeline commands, preview rendered frames and render finished MP4s.

Features include captions, silence and filler-word removal, auto-reframe for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and YouTube, background removal, color grading with LUTs, beat sync and audio ducking. There is a free Hobby plan, and paid plans start at $19/month.

Who it is for: creators, marketers, podcasters and small teams who want short-form and long-form edits done quickly without giving up control. Every change the agent makes lands on the timeline as an editable clip, so you can trim, reorder, restyle captions or swap music by hand before you export.

Plans: the Hobby plan is free forever with no card and includes 3 projects, 720p exports with a small watermark and a monthly allowance of AI credits. Creator is $19/month ($15/month billed yearly) with unlimited projects, 4K exports without a watermark and the full AI suite. Studio is $49/month ($39/month billed yearly) and adds live MCP and API access, AI image and video generation, more storage and concurrent renders. Team is $29 per seat per month (minimum 3 seats) with shared projects, media, brand kit and pooled credits. Enterprise has custom pricing and terms.

Platforms: web app, desktop apps for Windows and Apple Silicon Mac, the @vidmoat_bot Telegram bot, and a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP with OAuth or an API key). MCP test keys work on every plan; live MCP needs Studio or above.
